As a Training Centre, we have dedicated Forklift, PPT, HGV and Academic support staff. In each department we offer clear Progression Pathways, with Personal Development Plans and regular reviews.

Throughout the year we offer Apprenticeships in Engineering, Trainee HGV Programs, NVQ and Leadership Courses. We also run the Cotteswold Dairy Academy which is open to all Employees.

Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician with GET

Over the past few years, we have partnered with Gloucestershire Engineering Training to provide an exciting opportunity for young people in the local area. Offering a modern apprenticeship program and access to a state-of-the-art training centre based in Gloucester, our Trainee Engineers are learning all of the skills and knowledge required to join our busy Engineering Department.

Year One is based exclusively at GET and our L&D team complete regular check-ins to support the apprentices. We can provide further support with the academic side of the study, as well as offering a chance to observe the Engineers in the Dairy during the college breaks.

From Year Two, the apprentices work on site under the direction of a mentor, with projects and assessments at regular intervals. Coupled with college days to review their work and further their knowledge, the apprentices will gain a Level 3 qualification which is nationally recognized.

I love working with my hands and learning how things work, so being an Apprentice Engineer at Cotteswold Dairy is a great opportunity. I would really recommend it to anyone who wants to get into Engineering
