As our HR Administrative Associate, you will play a key role in keeping the department running smoothly. You will be primarily responsible for HR administration, but you will also gain exposure to recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, employee relations, disciplinary procedures, policy work and continuous improvement projects.
We are looking for someone who is not only capable of following process, but also confident enough to question it. The right person will be curious, adaptable and willing to challenge the norm, helping us improve how we work, embed change and make our HR processes more efficient, accurate and employee-focused.
What you’ll be doing
You will support a wide range of HR activity across the employee lifecycle, including:
• Managing the HR inbox, responding to first-line enquiries and directing queries to the right HR contact
• Answering phone and office-based HR queries in a professional, helpful and confidential manner
• Supporting new starters, company induction, onboarding documentation and HR system updates
• Maintaining accurate employee records, spreadsheets, HR systems and departmental documentation
• Preparing letters, forms and documents with a high level of accuracy
• Supporting recruitment administration, including vacancies, interview arrangements and candidate communication
• Assisting with probationary reviews, benefits administration, leavers processes and general HR tasks
• Supporting learning and development administration, including training arrangements and event coordination
• Helping with audits, reference requests, employee correspondence, meeting minutes and document control
• Working closely with the HR Manager, HR Advisor, HR Coordinator and Learning & Development Coordinator
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a capable and confident administrator who can bring energy, accuracy and clear thinking to a busy HR environment.
You will need:
• Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise, multitask and work to deadlines
• A fast and accurate working style, with strong attention to detail
• A genuine interest in Human Resources and a desire to develop a career in the field
• Confidence communicating with employees, managers and external contacts
• A professional, approachable and confidential manner
• Strong IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel
• The ability to quickly learn new software, systems, technology and processes
• Creative thinking and the confidence to suggest improvements
• Adaptability, resilience and a calm approach when priorities change
• Clear, reasoned thinking and the ability to work well in a busy team
Experience in HR is desirable. More important is your attitude, accuracy, willingness to learn and ability to work with pace and purpose.
